Exact identity and naming boundary
PACCAR MX-11 is a smaller-displacement PACCAR heavy-duty engine family for weight-sensitive and selected vocational/regional work. It is distinct from MX-13.
Production and emissions eras
Use the applicable model-year product sheet and certification information.
Published ratings and claims
Published outputs differ by era and application; a family label or maximum is not the installed rating. Published ranges and performance statements are manufacturer data, not SemiTrucks.ca test findings; the installed calibration must be verified.
Applications and truck relationships
MX-11 availability is limited to qualified Kenworth/Peterbilt chassis, model years and applications.
Identify the engine in one truck
Confirm engine serial, ECM calibration, emissions label, build sheet and actual component weight/specification.
Transmission and vehicle integration
Verify transmission approval, PTO needs, cooling, axle ratio and the complete vehicle duty cycle.
Canadian climate and duty-cycle questions
Payload sensitivity must be balanced with grade, start frequency, winter conditions, vocational heat rejection and service access.
Rebuild, remanufacture and swap limits
A replacement long block, remanufactured engine, ECM change or later swap can separate the current engine from the truck's original build. Reconcile the engine serial, ECM identity, invoices, certification labels and physical installation; do not infer factory fitment from appearance.
Reviewed and verification limit
Reviewed September 4, 2026. Ratings, availability and service information change by year, market and calibration. Confirm the individual engine with the manufacturer or qualified service source.
Verify the individual truck
Build information, component tags, service records, diagnostics and a qualified inspection take priority over general family-level guidance.
