Method, example & interpretation

Method: Litres equal kilometres ÷ 100 × entered L/100 km, plus the optional idling/other-fuel allowance. Annual cost multiplies that volume by the entered CAD/L price.

Worked example: 100,000 km at 20 L/100 km plus 1,000 extra litres equals 21,000 litres; at $2/L the scenario is $42,000.

Interpretation: Use route, season, load and duty-cycle evidence to choose inputs. The tool does not forecast fuel prices or guarantee consumption.
