Hino 155 vs 195: used cab-over buying comparison

The 2020 Canadian diesel 155 and 195 share a compact cab-over approach but have different chassis ratings and dimensions. Compare the same wheelbase and account for the installed body.

Equal wheelbase does not mean equal capacity

Use the dated spec sheets to identify each reference, then weigh the completed trucks. Body construction, refrigeration, liftgate and permanent equipment can consume a meaningful part of the available rating. Also compare front and rear weights: a total below GVWR can conceal an overloaded axle.

Inspect the cab-over features on both

A qualified inspection should include cab tilt and latching, mounts, steering, cooling-system access and evidence of leaks beneath the cab. Check the cargo floor and loading equipment under realistic use. This comparison concerns diesel standard cabs; a hybrid or crew-cab example needs a separate equipment and documentation review.
