YEARS & TECHNICAL ERAS

Follow the dated evidence

Corporate production dates, model years and individual factory-code availability are not interchangeable.

VERIFIED

Louisville/HN80 continuity

Launch evidence identifies the 101-inch L/LT7500 as the first L-Line offering, with vocational and urban-distribution positioning.

VERIFIED

HX technical transition

HX chassis changes do not make every later truck visually identical and do not erase the 101-inch family identity.

CORROBORATED

Late Set-Forward context

The redesigned Set-Forward vocational treatment applies where the dated configuration supports it. A VIN-backed MY2010 L7500 confirms existence, not a universal final-year specification.

L and LT are configuration evidence

In the early factory structure, the appended T distinguishes the tandem-rear configuration relationship. It is not a synonym for tractor; truck or tractor use is a separate build dimension.

Dated equipment, not a universal build

A 1999 vocational guide documents one L7501 with a Caterpillar 3126B, Fuller transmission and 213-inch wheelbase. It is a useful factory example, not the standard build for the whole family.

Late-model context

Late vehicle and service records confirm the family identity. Engine, transmission, wheelbase and axle layout still require the individual truck's build record.

OWNER / BUYER CHECK

Identify the individual truck

  1. Confirm the 101-inch BBC and the complete L/LT code.
  2. Separate early hood/chassis context from the 2007 Set-Forward treatment.
  3. Record single or tandem rear axle independently from truck or tractor use.
  4. Do not import A9500 or L9500 geometry.
A–H DIMENSION GUIDEAMBER

Precision graphic intentionally withheld

Sourced BBC or wheelbase figures may be useful, but they do not complete an A–H reference. No missing width, height, overhang, frame or fifth-wheel geometry is inferred from artwork or an adjacent Sterling family.
