MIXED-CLASS SPECIFICATION LIBRARY

Know the Sterling.
Then identify the build.

This library keeps highway, vocational, cab-over, chassis-cab and specialty Sterling vehicles together without forcing them into a tractor-only taxonomy.

How to read a Sterling identity

A family name, four-digit factory code, BBC, axle position, axle count and truck/tractor use are separate facts. In the early model-code structure, the appended T reflects a tandem-rear configuration relationship; it is not simply shorthand for tractor.

Set-Forward and Set-Back are configuration terms. HN80 and HX are technical chassis concepts. Neither automatically creates a new canonical family or proves the dimensions of a nearby build.
