Match the calibration to the Hino build
Hino’s Canadian introduction announcement paired B6.7 engines with Allison 2000 and 3000 Series transmissions. Record the actual engine serial number, installed rating and transmission model from the truck. An engine-family name alone does not identify the chassis specification or approve a different calibration.
Resolve the document date
The Canadian L Series web page and MY2027 brochure do not agree on the lower torque figure. Keep each document tied to its edition, and ask for the VIN-linked build and engine calibration before quoting a truck-specific torque value. The specification pages therefore show model-specific power choices without merging the conflicting base torque claims.
Assess the duty the engine has experienced
Discuss route length, stationary work and idling with the seller, then compare the explanation with hours and service records. Include cooling-system and aftertreatment inspection in a qualified assessment. Price outstanding work against the intended application and maintenance plan; a newer engine badge is not a substitute for condition evidence.
