Identify the installation before comparing parts
Confirm that the unit is the factory-described transmission or document any replacement. Preserve the complete model and serial identifiers when requesting service or parts. This page concerns the reviewed diesel 155 and 195 applications and does not establish fitment for a hybrid or another model year.
Body equipment changes the questions
The specification sheets identify PTO capability, but that does not approve every pump or body installation. Ask for the installed equipment’s records, control arrangement and operating guidance. Check for improvised wiring and leaks around equipment connections as part of the truck inspection.
Evaluate service and driving behaviour together
Review maintenance invoices and any overhaul documentation. Have a technician inspect the unit and assess engagement, shifts, leaks and warning history under suitable test conditions. A clean drive around the yard alone does not establish how the transmission behaves at working temperature or with the intended load.
